The following activities are designed to assist teachers in investigating access to quality teachers.

A. Teachers can write to the following prompts about teacher quality.

1. In your experience, how do quality teachers make a difference?

2. What conditions need to exist at schools to attract qualified teachers?

3. What conditions need to exist at schools to develop quality teachers?

4. What support and development programs are necessary at schools to retain new teachers?

5. What experiences have you had that helped you become a more powerful teacher?


B. Write a letter to your students that encourages them to become teachers.
