Any student at any high school deserves a good education. It is said that we are the future doctors, lawyers, dentist, teachers, etc., therefore, we should be prepared adequately to take the task of being the future. How can one expect that we, as students, will be prepared to be the future when in many high schools they don't even have the materials needed for a proper education? A student at any high school needs proper materials, a good studying environment, and capable administrators.
In order for students to learn, they need materials such as books and computers. Many schools have science books that are a decade old. Science grows more and more every year and while some students are studying about DNA cloning, others are talking about the evolution of man. Students also need computers for researching, printing and typing reports, projects, essays, and other assignments that require a computer. Computers play a big role in society today. People pay their bills by Internet. People talk to each other by the Internet, but yet there are many students in various high schools that can't even type. How does one expect for students to be prepared for the future when they are not given the necessary materials? If we get books at least once every three years, it will make a difference. It's not that hard to do this and some people may think it is, but we should try harder because it is worth it. After all, we are the future.
A good studying environment is also needed in order for students to be prepared adequately. One way it can be improved is by having programs that will help the students, programs that encourage students to exceed in life, programs that will pay attention to every student that is a part of the group. How can students study when teachers aren't available after school for help? This is not a good environment for students. Some students can't do their homework at home because they don't have anyone that can help them. They might not have the materials, or they might have many other conflicts in their life, like most teenagers do. Another reason might be that they don't have any other place where they can properly concentrate and do their homework. Well, school should be a place where students are able to study during school hours and after school. It is important that the students feel comfortable in their school because that way the students will have an opportunity and will want to study and try harder in school. The studying environment in many schools needs more improvement so that the students have a proper working environment.
Administrators play a big role in the students learning process. The administrator's decisions and actions affect the students learning process. The administrators have an effect on what classes the students will take, their teachers, their learning environment, and the activities offered to them. It is important that the students build a good relationship with the administrators because that will be their key to success. The administrators should help the students with things, such as, information about college, and encouragement to try their best in school. They should also be role models for the students. Their job is to help us with anything we need, whether we need to change our classes or whether we need to be advised with our complicated everyday life.
In order for students to be prepared adequately for the future we need the proper materials such as books and computers, a good studying environment that will allow us to feel comfortable in school, and capable administrators who will encourage us to succeed in our academics. It is important that we feel comfortable coming to school everyday and finding someone who is willing to help us find the correct instruments to better our learning. It's not easy getting ready to become the future.
