The Boyle Heights Project explores how the experiences and memories of many generations of Angelenos intersect in this community. The exhibition features photographs, artifacts, artwork, moving images, and oral histories that tell the story of past and present neighborhood residents.

Link Parents Left Behind
The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) sponsored a study of state, federal and school district implementation of No Child Left Behind. This report specifically examines the level of implementation of two parts of the ESEA (Elementary and Secondary Education Act) of 2001: the information that is supposed to go to parents about the quality of their children’s teachers and the ability parents have had to get supplemental education services for their children.

Checked Box Teacher Activist Training
The Coalitions for Education Justice (CEJ) will be holding a teacher activist training on Saturday, November 16th at UTLA, located at 3303 Wilshire at Wilshire and Berendo on the 8th floor. The session will go from 10:00 AM - 2:30 PM and free parking is available in the parking structure just north of Wilshire/Berendo. This training will include collective strategizing on school site activity, training around building school site CEJ chapters, and working within UTLA.
