YouthSpeak: Letters to President Bush from Santa Monica Students Dear Mr. Bush, I think you shouldn't go to war with Iraq because a lot of people will die. What if some other country wants to go to war with us, Mr. Bush? You wouldn't have enough people to defend our country. I think you shouldn't go to war with Iraq. Your friend, Raquel Thomas Dear Mr. Bush, I would like to know what is the real reason we are going to war? I think it is over oil because oil is money and money is power. Here is another thing you might want to hear: knowledge-power is better than money-power and besides war is just hate. I know you don't want to live in a world of hate. If we have a war, innocent people will die. Dolphins and seals can die, too. What happens when a seal or dolphin gets blown up from a bomb? We really shouldn't have a war. Innocent things in this world can die and then we won't have a world to live in. You are supposed to help people that don't have clothes, money, homes or food to eat. I want you to save the world just like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He saved the world, I know you can, too.
