YouthSpeak: Letters to President Bush from Santa Monica Students Dear Mr. Bush, I think you shouldn't go to war with Iraq because a lot of people will die. What if some other country wants to go to war with us, Mr. Bush? You wouldn't have enough people to defend our country. I think you shouldn't go to war with Iraq. Your friend, Raquel Thomas Dear Mr. Bush, I would like to know what is the real reason we are going to war? I think it is over oil because oil is money and money is power. Here is another thing you might want to hear: knowledge-power is better than money-power and besides war is just hate. I know you don't want to live in a world of hate. If we have a war, innocent people will die. Dolphins and seals can die, too. What happens when a seal or dolphin gets blown up from a bomb? We really shouldn't have a war. Innocent things in this world can die and then we won't have a world to live in. Sincerely, Geena Briana Candy Topping Dear Mr. Bush, The reason I'm writing you this letter is to ask a few questions about our troops in Iraq and that are going to Iraq. First, do you think that war is really necessary? And who would this war benefit? Do you think we can come to an understanding to keep this war from happening? This is from a concerned citizen. Amari Crenshaw P.S. No war. Dear Mr. Bush, I think you need to be a respectful and helpful man to people. When people go to war they die. We don't want you to fight about oil. Also, I want you to stop this nonsense of what you are doing to the USA. Look at yourself. I think you are a good wonderful person inside. "I mean it!" You are supposed to help people that don't have clothes, money, homes or food to eat. I want you to save the world just like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He saved the world, I know you can, too. Sincerely, Natalie Corona
