Walk-In Classroom Check-List
Definition: The classroom is ready for the teacher to walk into and teach. The new teacher does not have to clean and/or remove last years teachers materials and all supplies are in the room.
Classroom Essentials:
- Teachers desk and chair
- Teacher table/horseshoe table
- Enough student desks and chairs for all students
- Bookcase and/or storage shelves
- File cabinet
- Overhead projector and screen
- TV/VCR
- Computer and printer
- Enough student texts and teachers edition
- Class set of dictionaries
- Pencil sharpener
- Maps and U.S. flag
- Safety and exit route posted
Classroom Supplies:
- Rulers
- Stapler/staples
- Tape and dispenser
- Overhead pens
- Crayons
- Markers
- Pencils/erasers and pens
- Paper towels/soap/sponges
- Masking tape
- Chart paper
- Yard/meter stick
- Hole punch
- Push pins
- Chalk or white board markers
- Tissues
