This is an *amazing* web site. It really puts a voice/face to the "Digital Divide." I'm very impressed with the vast amount of information and features on this web site. Wow! However... your site is totally flunks the Bobby test (http://www.cast.org/bobby). There's a digital divide for people with disabilities too. Shouldn't they be able to access your web site as well?

We appreciate your submission to Talk Back. Thanks especially for bringing to our attention the fact that the journal still lacks a text-only version. Such parallel web pages would indeed make the tables, columns, inline images, and multimedia elements much more easy to understand for individuals with disabilities who rely on adaptive technologies when using the Web. This is certainly an important aspect of the "Digital Divide" that we have not really addressed in this issue, neither in theory or practice. Hopefully, we'll do better in the next issue. - tcla
