Robinson Elementary School, Manhattan Beach Unified
If you had more of a voice, what would you change in your school and community? Why do people choose to vote?
If I had more of a voice I would change the food at elementary schools. Not to gross anyone out but the only thing that's good is the pizza. Most of the food is either stale, old, tastes bad, or it bounces. If I had to change the community I would have us work more on donating money to poor cities.
- Danielle, Grade 5, Age 11

I would change the food, prices, traffic, and less time on traffic lights.
- Ethan, Grade 5, Age 10

People vote because they know it affects their town/city/state/country and that every vote counts in the final outcome. They may also feel an obligation to vote because they are American citizens.
- Nolan, Grade 5, Age 11

I think people choose to vote because they care about their future, and who will be in control of their country and lives. People should only vote if they're sure who they want to be the next president for four years because every vote counts. Make sure when you vote you vote for a person who will make a better tomorrow and a better today.
- Danielle, Grade 5, Age 11
