| In the past few years, a trend towards school accountability has led to an onslaught of standardized tests. In Los Angeles, students are required to take the Stanford-9 test, despite the efforts of many activists to communicate that one test does not fit all students. Each year, the state compiles a school’s API score. This score ranks a school on performance on the API relative to other schools in California and also other similar schools in California. Many individuals and groups are opposing these tests through various efforts. The links below reflect some of these attempts to eliminate the requirement of this standardized test.
