| Interested in Teaching to Change LA? Out next issue will be on the Digital Divide. In addition to continuing to feature topics broadly related to equity and access, we will pay special attention to the serious social justice implications of unequal access to computer technology. We will be addressing ideas and work of interest and importance to LA Teachers, LA Students, Parents & Community, Politics & Education, as well as including a section on Books & Links.
We have designed a "Lesson Plan Packet" to help students and teachers delve into issues relating to the Digital Divide. Additionally, we have class packets of surveys available to assess the effects of the Digital Divide within different schools. You may download the Lesson Plan Packet or you can contact us and request a lesson plan packet and a class set of surveys be mailed to you. You may need to download the free Adobe Acrobat Reader at the bottom of the page to read the file.
Please visit our digital divide survey and fill out information regarding your access to technology. We are doing a city wide survey to assess the availability and quality of technology across Los Angeles.
